A new software factory?
well kinda, sorta, yep, nope.... ummm you decide :) So I had been meaning to post about this, no really I had ;) but thanks to a prompt by Gareth I thought I'd better put something here too :) Anyway the new factory I'm talking about is the Repository Factory, this factory was originally part of the Service Factory, but the guys over at P&P have unleashed this factory so that we can compose our own factories using the smaller factories or just use the Repository Factory on its own in a solution. ......

Looking forward...
Jezz mention's on his blog a couple of white papers that he and Edward Bakker have written which are heading to MSDN Architecture Center.... I'm really looking forward to reading these... Jezz also recaps on their trip to TechEd Japan... and eludes a little to going vertical with factories.... which is at the center of my world right now... anyhoo take a read here ......

its here Grigori has just announced that the July drop of GAT/GAX has been released. So here's the highlights other than the usual bug fixes. Support for both Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008 Betas 1 and 2 (Orcas) Improved installer (using The Windows Installer XML (WiX)) Support for Registration as Normal User (RANU) and experimental hive Enhanced support for installing Visual Basic templates upgrading is supposed to be painless and existing software factories should still work if run under ......

Building Software Factories
So I've spent the last couple of days scanning the blogs for any information coming out of the Service Factory Customization Workshop..... and...... nada, zip, squat, nothing.... hmmm So I could be opening myself up to being shot here as today is the last day of the workshop, but guys we have a whole community of people who want/need/desire (delete as appropriate) more/better information on how to build, customize, extend factories.... Could somebody blog something already :) Microsoft guys is it ......
