I have a question readers. How do you like to implement workflows? I am working on a project that has a workflow that I know is going to change and I am trying to figure out how I can best model this in code but still keep it supple. My workflow is something like this: Capture messageDecide who gets an alertSend alert--time passes--User logs in and performs work based on alertUser marks work completeSystem send alert to message originatorBill message originator++workflow completed++ So first off, ......

TFS 2008
Can anyone tell me how less TFS 2008 sucks? I am getting pretty worn out with having to fight TFS 2005 as my team tries to develop a quality build with it. At this point I am ready to start the fight to get SVN or Git setup rather than deal with a source control tool that still doesn't seem to have the ability to rollback code. I also can't stand the never leave the IDE model that TFS has adopted. It makes keeping track of things outside of VS much more difficult. I really hope TFS 2008 doesn't suck, ......

ALT.Net Day 2
Beyond the whole "Day two was Awesome" type shit. The things that are still with me as I drift between sleep and writing are these: The open spaces format is extremely cool. You have to have a passionate group of people and if you have that it seems that you can't go wrong. I truely hope that more conferences are run this way. I am only going to touch on this briefly, but I have found it amazing how we all interperate what all this ALT.Net stuff really means. The simplest transalation is 'Options.Net' ......

Day One of Alt.Net
So I just got back to the room after an evening spent with a lot of really interesting people here in Austin. I have been blown away not only by the content of the discussions but by the shear number of people all committed to persuing better ways of developing. Breifly, one thing that caught me off guard was the amount of people from Microsoft. Guthrie, Hanselman, Dierking and I am sure there were others but it made me feel that MSFT is actually listening. Also, I really appriciated Hanselman's ......

WCF Impersonation

Anyone know how to get a WCF Host in IIS to behave as a specific user?

I want my WCF Service to use a specific user for database access and i don't want to spec a username/password in my connection string.
