Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.

Another day come and gone... Despite persistant wireless issues, I eventually managed to get connected. Check some email, etc.

First on my plate today was a session of Tablet PC development, followed by a quick stint with the INETA gang. Unfortunately, prize patrol got shut down by “the man“ for being too rowdy. Silly, but I think it's safe to say our booth had the most personality of any in our area.

Next, I caught the SQL Internals session on the SQL Server 2005 CLR. Unfortunately the presenter was pretty awful.  (It was supposed to be a 300 level session, but he was treating it as 100 level, and doing a horrible job) Lots of people walked out. After about 20 minutes I couldn't stand it anymore, so I ended up bailing too.  :(

Back to the INETA “lounge” for more duty, after a quick trip through the expo hall. Picked up some more swag for the UG. Sweet...

Next up... the CodeZone Launch Party. Extremely cool. Once again, Microsoft knows how to throw a party like nobody else I've ever seen. (I know... I know... the dark side is calling)  Got to hang out with my homie Jason Olson and some of the other folks I've gotten to know over the last couple days.  Also met some new very cool folks, and talked to a few folks interested in helping out the user group. Oh yeah and the food... wow!  Shrimp, Sushi, Alligator & an open bar... very nice!

After that I was off to see a session on How to build speech enabled mobile device solutions using MS Speech Server. Cool stuff!

Finally, a session on What are Microsoft Patterns and Practices and why should I care?  This is a much closer environment, birds of a feather discussion style.

After that, I was completely braindead and decided to head back to the hotel.  Dumped out the swag and started typing... now I'm done. heh

until tomorrow...
