Engadget is reporting that the next version of Windows (codename Longhorn) is to be called Windows Vista.UPDATE: Many other sites are reporting this as well, now. Also, as bink.nu reports, a WHOIS query on windowsvista.us is revealing. UPDATE: It’s true. Now playing: Yes - Our Song ......
The short answer to my question is “don’t have them.” Unfortunately, that’s not always a viable answer. Why is this an issue anyway? SQL Server 2000’s DATETIME field isn’t as precise as the data generated by Windows. What this means is that if you store a DATETIME and then retrieve it and compare it to the original value, the values are likely to be different. I’ve written scripts in SQL server and in .NET to compare DATETIME fields to within a hundredth ......

Trillian, Trillian, Trillian. I’m starting to fall in love with this product. Okay, that’s an exaggeration, but if you’re dealing with multiple IM’s and you’re not using something like this, you’re really missing out. I’d talk about it, but their product info page does a better job than I can. They call it the Swiss Army knife of instant messaging, and they’re correct. And best of all, it’s free. They have a Pro version with minimal cost, but ......
Well, Saturday was, as my postal carrier called it, “Harry Potter Day”. Unlike some of you, I chose to wait by the mailbox rather than be at the store at midnight. Unlike the rest of you, I wanted to know what was going on before November 2008 (anticipated release date of HBP in theatres). So, what did I think of it? Well, it’s not quite as good as Prisoner of Azkaban or Goblet of Fire, but much much better than the disappointing Order of the Phoenix. Also, at 652 pages, it’s a bit lighter than years ......
As I wrote earlier, I decided to attempt to use Netscape 8.0. Today I turned it off as my default browser. But, the folks at Netscape/AOL/Mozilla/Whatever should be proud of themselves. I kept it as my default browser for 45 days. That’s about 44 1/2 days longer than I’ve lasted with Netscape for a long long time. However, it still suffers from bloat, particularly with both the Firefox and IE engines loaded. I kept waiting and waiting on new themes and extensions, but so far none. I finally ......
From Brad Wilson (The .NET Guy) Italicize the ones you've seen and Bold the ones you actually liked. Unfortunately for me, I’m a movieholic. Fortunately for me, I’m a parent now, which means I have less time to see movies. The first I haven’t seen is 32, which is surprisingly high, but I don’t like Jim Carey (or Mike Myers – 48). 1. Titanic (1997) - $600,779,8242. Star Wars (1977) - $460,935,6653. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) - $434,949,4594. Star Wars: Episode ......
