Syncing your Mobbie with Vista
WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Centre), is the new software in Vista that replaces ActiveSync and you cannot even install ActiveSync on Vista. If you installed Vista RC1 and plugged in your Windows Mobile Phone (either Pocket PC or Smart Phone) and expected Outlook to start syncing you would be in for a rude shock. All Vista does is open the device in Explorer so you can browse it and get to explore files - but nothing to sync up. This is because the WMDC bits are not publicly released yet but are being ......

Should Microsoft Continue to Support BPEL?

Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) is a means of describing high-level state transition interactions of a process or processes in a standardized fashion. The concept described is usually referred to as an Abstract Process. An Abstract Process represents a set of publicly observable behaviors in a standardized fashion. An Abstract Process includes ......

RC1 of .Net
Richard Turner posted: It seems like we've been waiting for this particular release of technologies forever. For those who have been following the story since our coming out at PDC 2003, the subsequent SDRs (Software Design Reviews), early-adopter programs, CTPs and Betas, can finally see that the light further down the tunnel is in fact the end, and not an oncoming train! I would like to thank all of you who have worked with us over the last 3+ years and helped us make the technologies shipping ......

New BAM documentation and samples
From the Microsoft SoCal site I gleamed the following: Micrsoft have just released two great resources for BizTalk BAM aficionados. The first, BAM Frequently Asked Questions covers great topics like BAM tracing, common errors, maintaining the BAM databases and more. Good stuff. The second doc. Developing with BAM goes through the BAM API and explains (with code snippets) how to use the API. Obviously you could write volumes on the tactics for BAM programming, but this document is a great start for ......
