Geoff Snowman has announced that Joe Francis, a longtime Microsoft employee and expert on the Windows platform, has agreed to speak at the
MICSUG meeting on June 22. Joe, a principal product specialist with Microsoft Corporation, specializes in identity management and Windows infrastructure. One of the most challenging issues in integration is cross-platform management of identity, and Joe will describe Microsoft's approaches for addressing this issue, including
Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS).
I will also be presenting a few ideas of how to do identity migration in code using MIIS. I imagine just a few slides plus a few code demos on integration with SQL Server databases to AD and maybe some SharePoint integration as well. I haven't fully made up my mind just yet.
