Visual Studio.NET 2005 does not let me rename my Web Server Control

As usual I found another BUG in Visual Studio.NET 2005. I am sure most of you have already encountered this issue. I am trying to do something very simply. All I am doing is renaming my Label control. When I try to rename is it pops the message box saying

"If you have references in markup they will not be renamed. Do you want to continue".

It does not matter whether you press "YES" or "NO" because both of them will do NOTHING. I hope these annoying bugs are fixed ASAP!

That certainly is an annoying bug! I spent several days trying to find the repro steps, and finally after some help from the community, we were able to narrow it down, and now have the fix. Our current plan is to get it into the service pack, but we won't know until it ships if it makes it.

The work around they suggest works by deleting the cache. anyways, I first ran into this by adding a user control in 2005. Had been mostly master pages, but lost control of cross page posts control references. Anyways, 2005 enterprise open license msdn version. IDE is nice, but slim it down guys and it might work better.

looks like this got fixed in sp1. I have the beta and no more webcache folder missing in action.
